On CBS last night, Dan Rather on at least 2 occasions played tape of an interview of a close associate of Bin Laden. This taping was from maybe 2 months ago and showed one setting where a middle eastern man was reading large script (maybe 2 feet high) writings on walls of a large gathering room, translating into English. One of the messages concerned the US allegedly trying to destroy the Muslim way of life. I say that if their means of combating these alledged US intentions is evidenced by Tuesday's activities, the Muslim way of life SHOULD be destroyed.

please dont say sh!t like this man.... we are talking about extreme muslims here. I think that the extremists should be stopped, but we dont need to stop *all* muslim way of life. Its like saying what ted kazinzki did was an acurate represintation of the american way of life....

Ted Kazinsky (SP?) acted alone. He purported to act for a group and his communications with the world during all those years he was sending bombs and afterward referred to a "we" as if he represented an organization, and maybe he actually he did in some way. However, the truth of the matter is that he acted completely on his own. These arab extremists are not acting alone. On the contrary, they are the most organized terrorists in the modern world and as such, at least to an extent, represent the peoples from whom they spring. Either those people (Muslims) repudiate these terrorist activities or they do not deserve to have their "way of life" survive. This is precisely the point I tried to make here. Do you not understand this?

Ted K. did act completely on his own, whatever he may have been thinking his head and pretending on paper.

Okay, some governments, not naming any names (*cough*CHINA-IRAQ*cough*) will tell their people what they want. They'll convince their people that the Americans are evil people following Satan (or whoever their devil is) and that we're out to destroy them. ANYTHING can be staged now-a-days. I would be surprised if those bill-board type things were staged by the government to rally the people against us. It's a common practice.

I think some extremist Muslims are afraid of US culture. The US isn't actually trying to destroy other cultures or ways of life. It's just that our culture is so popular among young people of any country. Kids everywhere love our movies, music, cloths. They are scared of that.
