The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Thursday fined U.S. Bank $37.5 million for illegally opening customer accounts without their permission.

I'm a little biased in favor of Wells Fargo because our family has been with them, among other banks, for decades before the scandal. There's a wiki on the Wells Fargo scandals too, the ones around 2015 give or take a year.
