URL's in MSIE in XP

In 98, when the cursor hovered over a link in a browser, it would show the URL in the bottom of the screen, know what I mean?

Well, XP doesn't do that, or I don't have that option switched on.

Is there a way to turn this on without going back to classic view?

goto view and turn on the status bar.
