URL page "hangs" after being clicked

When clicking a link sometimes the new page does not appear and the progress bar stops or hangs. On a second click the web page suddenly appears. Is this a wireless router problem( I got one) or a web problem or a browser problem? I use Firefox 2.0 with XP Pro.
