i replaced the mounting bracket in my IS7 to screw in the bolts for a slk947 as seen here.jpg

however, i lost the little grey pegs that hold the bracket in place. where can i get a new set?

thanz a lot mechBgon, i considering ordering that but i tried to put the one that came with the mobo back on and it snapped bank in and it felt very secure. but my question is will it suppoer a CNPS 7000 without the pins? is there anything i can use around the house to replace it with?

btw, here is a better picture of what i'm talking about

Another idea. If you can get one out and intact take it to a local hardware store. A real one, not Home Depot, etc. They have all kinds of stuff and misc. hardware.

the problem is i took them ALL out and lost ALL of them...

Ok, I'm just taking a wild guess that the function of the peg is to keep a split, pronged, hollow thing spread open so it doesn't slip: like this? Here, the green-gold thing is the mobo, the red part is the peg, and the blue part represents the part of your black plastic heatsink receptacle that goes through the motherboard. So the function of the red part is to keep the blue part's prongs spread out to grip the mobo without being able to collapse inward and lose their grip.

If that's what the pegs do, then anything of similar diameter should serve that purpose equally well. Or maybe I'm off on a wild goose chase :D Mmmm, geese...

Why not throw a thread up in For sale/ Trade forum here at AT, I bet someone has these from a board that died at some point :)

that is EXACTLY what it does, beautiful illustration btw.

i think i am going to try and use either a thick needle or a thick toothpick...
