My 3-day old Abit P35-Pro has a new behavior and I don't like it! If I do a REstart, then hit delete to go into the Bios Setup, it will enter setup just fine. But only for a scarce few seconds before the screen goes blank. All the fans in the case still run at full bore, it looks like it's still on - all except no video. Also it won't respond to the RESET button; I have to turn off the switch at the PSU (which is a Thermaltake 750W unit).

On a COLD boot, I can usually stay in the BIos Setup as long as I want. The parameters in the setup don't change when it crashes. Something is shutting off the video ... what is it? The card is a PCI-e GEforce 6800 GTS and I do have the power connector on it.

Once I am in windows, the system is stable and will run all day & night unless I want to do a restart and change settings again.

I'm using a Q6600 - settings 333x9
Abit P35-Pro
2.0G Corsair RAM DDR-2 PC6400
(2) 500G Western Digital drives (sata)
Sony DVD/CDRW (sata)
(5) 80mm case cooling fans

System runs with CPU temp in the 40's and I'm running stock CPU cooler

Suggestions appreciated!

Thanks but these are the first things I did. I'm a very experienced builder and overclocker ... I work on 'em for a living. But that's also why this frustrates me so darn much!

Reset switch works fine, except when this anomaly happens. I've reset the bios a dozen times and I'm ready to give up on this thing and go back to Asus.

Tech support doesn't even answer their phone; I've been on hold now for ten minutes so far.

Could have been. I upgraded from the 256MB Nvidia card to the 512. Also RMA'd the motherboard. All is well now.
