dont know really how to define it, but in the medical field a case study is a sample situation that's given to you and you must analyze the facts and solve the problem.
For example, typical medical case study would look like this:
80 year old male presents to the emergency room with a temperature of 102.3. He reports having this fever for teh last three days. He has lost 10 lbs in the past 3 weeks. Has had a persistent cough, and night sweats. Lab runs are tested and they show a WBC of 15,000 H&H of 14.5 and 33.6.....blah blha blah..
question could be...
given the above case study...how would you go about treating this patient.....??
So then you would analyze the given facts and start naming the facts like...
The fever, weight loss, cough could be attributed to TB...blah blah blah...
In the computer field a case study would be used for example to show how a person/company goes about solving a problem. For example a company needs a network, and the facts are given and now you must say what would be the best type of network for that company...
. So WHAT is a case study? What kind of content is in a case study?
