I'm goin nuts over here... just got my epox 8k3a in, set everything up, but.... the system will not boot at all. When i turn the power on, I just get a series of long beeps, and no video signal at all. I'm running an XP 1800+ with a Thermalright AX-7/40CFM Panaflo, which connects to my power supply, not the CPU fan header. My thinking is that the motherboard won't let me boot, since its not getting any reading from the CPU fan header. Does anyone know of any way to get around this? I'm still trying to set up the system, so please, help!

actually, narrowed it down further... the beep code i'm getting is a memory code, but that doesnt make much sense at all, as the ram is the same i was using EARLIER TODAY on my old kr7a-raid. Its kingmax pc2700, with thermaltake heat spreaders on it, and its seated correctly... tested the system with my roomate's ram, and same error. Any help?

is the RAM ECC/nonECC
because i know that KR7A can take both but not sure about the epox

since its not getting any reading from the CPU fan header
some motherboard does that

got it... gonna have to make a note to anyone who intends to buy this board... you REALLY have to seat the ram down hard the first time you seat it. i've built dozens of systems, but i've never had a mobo that made you jam the memory in quite as badly as this one. maybe its just my luck :) unfortunately... my oc on it sucks right now :(
