Yeah... it's just that they complaint about loosing their desktop icons and all that crap. I'll probably just recreate their desktop settings from memory.

Some other programs might loose their settings aswell, but I think the impact will be minimal.

I have a couple of Win2k boxes to re-join to the domain, and Win2k does not have the profile export utility that comes with WinXP, so how can I export the profiles and import them back to the new user?

Well, you can copy the desktop icons, documents, favorites, etc., between profiles. Just explore the user's profile, under documents and settings, to get that stuff. I know that Desktop, Favorites, and My Documents are all folders that can be moved to new profiles without headache. That should eliminate most of the complaints.

and remember to show hidden folders since alot of settings are there

and local settings / internet explorer / quicklunch if I remember correctly, i'm always finding the shortcuts i need in others peoples quicklunch bar

I've never used the tool that you've described, so no, I have no idea how you could replicate it, nor if there is another one like it. But my question is... why must you have that tool?
