I know this is the wrong forum, but I need some help fast. I really need to use my computer for homework.

I am suddenly getting an error every time I boot up my computer (I am on 98se).

It reads:

Windows Registry Checker
Windows enountered an error accessing the system registry.
Windows will restart and repair the system registry for you.

Well, it obviously does jack sh!t.

So how do I repair this? This is fcuking annoying.

Restore your most recent registry backup from before the error started occurring. You did back up your registry, right?

If you knoew it was the wrong forum why did you post it against forum rules? 😕

Good luck Kauru.

Of course not. I would help if it were in the correct forum. But here in OT, I am an anoying bastard. I am a different person in other forums.

Well, I have to go to dinner, but I am not a total ass. (usually). So your answer is:

Run Memtest86 and replace bad memory module. Your memory is bad. '98 and ME both check the registry in the memory, so if the memory is bad, you will get exactly this error in a recurring fashion.
