Please help me! I really need your help.

I just formated the drive where winME is on since there's no uninstal.exe as the help file said. Now the problem is the computer still tries to boot up winME even though it's deleted. What should i do to start up win2K?

I'm hoping you installed them on different partitions! I'm thinking you did.

If you did, format the ME part and install Win98 there. Then install W2k and choose to repair the W2k installation when asked.

Otherwise, if you only want W2k, on the disk there is a utility to make startup floppies. You'll need 4. Make them and reinstall W2k. I'm unsure if the last way lets you repair or not.

thanks... but i am still unsure about some things. i think winME did something screwy to the master boot record so that MBR wants to start winME every time i reboot. do i have to reinstall win2k to correct the problem?

Set your win2k partition to active by fdisk, diskedit, etc.
