urgent- need help partitioning Windows NT

i need to install Linux on a machine just given to me that has windows NT on it... I would like to dual-boot the system.

right now there is just the c drive and it wont let me partition that in NT since it has the NT source files...how would i go about doing this...

 
Have you tried using PowerQuests Partition Magic version 7? I think it does NTFS formatting also and FAT 32.
