And btw, 50 000 rupees = $1015.85 USD.

Aren't rupees the green/blue crystals like in Zelda? Do you cut your grass and find money over there?

Might as well get a 1 tb drive or 1.5tb, get ddr2-800 if your not overclocking much ddr2-1066 and a thermalright TRUE heatsink if you are. Buy a cheap case and 500W power supply if you dont care, coolermaster haf 932 + p/s if you do, fair price and will help overclocks.

Ok, you made my afternoon with that one, Tidus!

Wang, what software do you use for animation? Does it support dual or quad core processors? Does it require a Quadro or FireGL video card or can you use any gaming card fine?

What you probably want is either an E8400, Q9400, or Q9550 (e8400 if your software doesn't support quads, Q9400/Q9550 depending on budget). Combine that with a P45 motherboard, 4GB DDR2-800 memory, a WD6400AAKS (or one of the higher capacity Caviar Black drives) and a solid 500W PSU (from one of the good makers - Seasonic, Corsair, OCZ, Antec). Case is up to you, too many choices and too personal a choice for us to make for you.

Video card: If you can use any card, what monitor do you game on (and what resolution)? You should look for at least a 9800GT if you're much of a gamer, or step up to a GTX 260 or 1GB 4870 if you can tolerate the cost on your budget. Without knowing what prices are like over there or what's available it's a bit hard to make specific recommendations.

wangprefix, its really nice and all that you have 50k to spend.. but I highly doubt it that the prices of other countries reflect the actual price from where you are from.
Do you have a site of your own country where you buy your hardware from. From there it would be easier to come up with a possible combination of hardware that fits your bill.

If any of your country's sites doesn't have an english version, it might come in handy if you could give us an overview of some of the products Denithor has mentioned and slap a price behind it for a swift and easy overview to come up with a set-up.

Goodluck & Zelda FTW ;)

I do animation and graphics too...

Skip the DDR3, get 8GB of DDR2 for the same price.

Get the 3850 and soft mod it to a v7700

Nothing's wrong with the 4850. I just wanted to point out you could potentially have a Maya accelerator beast by softmodding an older 8800GTS 640MB into a fast Quadro FX card (follow the pictoral guide in the link I provided).

For gaming the 4850 is great but it's not going to provide much acceleration for Maya.

EDIT: The P5Q is a great board. Go for more DDR2 memory instead of less DDR3 memory, trust us on this one (the programs and games will benefit from more memory). Higher speed memory has virtually no impact on performance, there's no reason to go DDR3 today unless you're buying an i7 system.

And BTW, what is the "Intel quad 2.63" processor you've been talking about? I'm not aware of a quad running at that speed.

Thanks for your advice denithor.... will keep that in mind... sorry about the quad core got advice from my dealer so hardly have an idea... but demitor what about the falling price of the DDR3 rams will i not be regretting the fact after a couple of month or so... not that i want to lay doubt on your experience... or try your patience.. could you elaborate.. and could you finally give the best configuration that would be apropriate for high end animation and gaming ( gaming is not much of an issue here just a mode of passing time)... for DDR2 ram.

You can get DDR2 for $17 / GB... you think DDR3 will be that cheap in a few months? The thing to remember about your dealer is that he makes a PROFIT when you spend more money. The apps you mentioned will benefit from having the additional 6GB of RAM far more than the couple of percent the DDR3 is going to yield on your set-up.

Asus P5Q Deluxe Kicks ass, 16 phase power, I built a system around this board with cheap RAM and a E8600. It oc/d to 4.2 right out of the box with minimal tweaking. There are less expensive (less feature-rich) versions available for half the price.

can you advice me a better ATI series gpu

Get the 3850 and softmod it to a fireGL. If you are going to use d3d in 3dsMAX you can get away with the ATI 4850...

P5Q Deluxe, is a great board.

8 GB DDR > DDR3 2-4GB.

Also the softmod is a great idea.

Cumputer though is that out of a porno?

If you can get the 8800GTS 640mb and softmod it, I think it would destroy the AMD 3850 card hands down.

Nvidia has always had better workstation drivers than AMD/ATI, plus the G80 is a way more powerful GPU than the 3850.

I'm sorry to break your fantasy, but a quad core with 2.63ghz (stock) doesn't exist. And that's not even specific enough. If it's 2.66ghz you mean, then there are 3 processors: Q6700, Q9450, Q9400
