URGENT HELP!!

hm... so i was uninstalling some stuff i dont need anymore. (i was sure that i didnt need them). so i stumbled across "nVidia GART driver" or something. knowing i don't have an nvidia card, and that it is safe to uninstall any opposite "nvidia" thing if you have an ATI card, and vice versa. I happily uninstalled the gart thing, and it had to restart the computer.

amazed, the screen was in teh default 8x6, at 60Hz. i was like, "holy crap... what have i done?" don't get me wrong, i know tons about PC's. so i tried to un/install diff drivers, etc. i un/installed my omega drivers, and nothing happened, its still the same. look at this pic, if you will... http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/1498/untitled9gg.jpg

the card isn't recognized. i know i have gone through this situation before, when i first installed my 9800 pro. i tried everything, and nothing will work. the screen lags when i go up and down on my scroll wheel. PLEASE... help me... FFS! 🙁

I believe the GART thing is chipset related. Try reinstalling your chipset drivers. I have also seen it in machines with ATI graphics.

im sorry if this is a dumb question... but chipset drivers? is that my videocard drivers like catalyst 5.6, 5.7.. etc? where can i get them?
thank you! 😉

The chipset is the chip (or two chips) on your motherboard that essentially link all of yoru components together. What drivers you need depends on what chipset your motherboard uses. If you post your motherboard, I'll try and find what chipset it uses.
