Urgent help w/ SLI

My cousin has two 7600gt's. enabling sli on them will cause a dead-pixel effect in certain areas on all 3D games, but disabling it, the games look just fine. help is greatly needed and appreciated

enabling SLI = more heat. check temperatures of both cards.
