I accidentally set on the BIOS chipset menu the Graphics Aperture Size to 128m instead of default 64m.
Now when trying to start the PC all i hear is the vocal Post
"System failed memory test" , the monitor stays blank and wont pass through and go to the BIOS.
Tried booting it holding f5 or Delete pressed and nothing.

Called Asus supoprt and said to take the battery off and the jumper to reset everythign to default for 30min.
Now im hoping that this will work otherwise ill have this mobo RMAed and have to send t back and get a new one (maybe a rev2.0 ;) )

other solution i found was to buy a DDRAM that runs at 128m but i believe it will be quite pricey

could someone please help me?

Thanks

edit: could it possibly be also because I set the fsb and mem to 172mhz?

Setting the bus speed too high can cause the system not to boot. Resetting the CMOS (by connecting the jumpers on CLRTC1 which is right beside the battery, or removing the battery) resets all the configuration to default.

You should avoid changing multiple things in the BIOS at one time, unless you know exactly what you're changing and know that it will work. Anytime you change something like the bus speeds, you should only change on item then reboot and verify that the system works before changing anything else. If you change multiple options, then you don't know which one caused the problem.

The AGP aperture setting should not cause the system to fail to post, and should usually be set to half of your RAM (AGP memory is almost never used anyway).

I have no idea what you mean by DDRAM that runs at 128m. If you have memory that's only rated for 333MHz (PC2700) then trying to set the bus speed to 172MHz may be too much for it. Cheap memory often can't be overclocked.
