URGENT help on Q3A benchmark

Can someone tell me how to get the fps (or some other benchmark scores) in Q3A? what buttons to press and how to interpret the numbers (if they are not obvious)? This is very urgent. Thanks a lot!!!!!

Here is a link on how to do it.

To open the console, press the leftmost key over the TAB button on your keyboard.

Be sure there is no character at the beginning of the line.

After running the demo, bring back the console and look the number followed by fps. This is the number of Frame Per Second you have with your system with the current setup.

To do only 1 test here is what to do :

Bring down the console.

Write :
/timedemo 1
/demo demo001

Wait the demo to finish
Bring down the console again
Look the fps

Thanks a lot. The next question is, by using the infinite loop demo. how am i going to stop the demo and look at the fps? Thanks.

for doing 1 test I did get the numbers, just wonder how to do that when dealing with loop demo

The loop is to stress your system, see if it crashes, check cpu temp under load. Launch Quake by the normal icon and not the loop batch file (or remove the batch file). Then do as mentioned.

Doing the same myself right now...
~
/timedemo 1
/demo demo001
Once complete hit ~ again to display results

So far 88.4 fps on 800x600 16bit high detail...
