I was trying to flash my bios. It's KK266 plur-R. I followed the steps as suggested by Iwill. But it's not coming out of the process. It's flashing a message "please wait" for last 10 mins. the floppy light is on but i don't think it's reading anyhting because there is no sound. Ihave done this before Never take so much time I am scared to restrat. PLEASE ADVISE. I happenned after i input the "file name to program" and pressed "enter".

8 minutes is kind of fast for a bump......

Anyway, you mean your pc is sitting there right now with the floppy light on saying "please wait" and you're scared to turn it off because it may not come back on? Dude, that's gotta suck!

I had a pc do that once too. It was an old K6-2 mobo....model escapes me now....but I just bit the bullet and hit the reboot button. Turns out, the flash was successful and everything was fine. I was flashing the BIOS so it would recognize a faster processor. Why are you flashing?

Because it's giving resource conflict after i moved to XP. Manufacturer suggested that I need bios upgrade for XP.
