I'm an amateur in computer world. I just finished installing a new machine. Here is my specs : Athlon 64 3000+, MSI NX6600gt 128mb PCI-E, Chaintech VNF4 ultra, Transcend PC3200 512mb dual channel, Power supply:450watt. Everything works well until I installed the latest driver for my videocard from their website. First, I gotta say that I couldn't use the cd provided in the package, I don't know why. After, I installed that driver and played the official Final Fantasy XI benchmark, my computer suddenly restarted and and keep restarting along with the appearence of the blue screen which told me to remove new installed hardware. The minimum power supply for my vidcard is 350watt, so I tought there is no way my machine lacks of power supply. Today, I decided to reinstall windows xp and again a problem came up but this time after I installed DIrect X9 from my mobo's cd package. The problem is that the Bios screen is messed up. All the fonts are like hell, I couldn't read them at all ( I don't know what it's called). I hadn't installed the vid card driver at that time so I decided to install it and BANG! My machine keep restarting again.
Then I called MSI tech support and they told me to update the driver, bios and the chip of my mobo. They also told me to remove the sound card first to see if it conflicted the vidcard. Unfortunately, I don't know how to update the bios......T_T.....
Would anyone help me please? I don't know what's my next step or solution or whatever....
