I just installed this mobo and it wont POST. The light on the mobo is on. My HD and Power lights are on. When I turn it on, there's no beep from the speaker. Here's what I've tried:
Jumperfree mode on and off.
Raid on and off.
Move HD to Primary ATA100 and Primary IDE.
Turn the power led, power switch, reset switch, ide led, a speaker in the opposite direction.
Change voltage to 3.3V.
Removed the battery and replace it.

1.1GHz tbird
a7v133
256mb crucial cas2
radeon 64mb
maxtor 30gb 7200rpm
antec sx830 with 300w amd approved ps

I'm using the same component right now in an Abit KT7A-RAID. The weird thing is I couldn't get the Asus KX133 Slot A to post either, but the Abits(KX133 and KT133) have been working well for me. Maybe I just have bad luck with Asus or it's different setting up an Asus mobo than an Abit mobo.
Please help.

O.K. I'm a little confused, which component?! I think you ruled out the CPU, so check all slots(video, mem, pci, etc.) and make sure everything is seated. Try different memory if your have it and check all power connections on the MB. Try a step-by-step procedure(use your MB manual as a guide) so you can trouble shoot your problem better. You be surprise how easy you can forget to do the "obvious". I know I have on many occasion, especially when tired or frustrated. GooD LucK!

when it boots up try hitting the reset switch and if that doesn't work try pushing and holding the power button till it shuts down then try it again. A7V's can be picky about overclocking settings. try setting everything to default settings then go from there.

I know this is stupid... but ive seen it 100 times. Did you just flip on the PSU switch, or did you press the power button on the case? If you used the PSU switch it wont boot, its a self test I believe, press the power button.

Dulanic is right. I did the same thing with the K7-V. After you switch on the power switch in the back, make sure to actually hit the power in the front. Also, make sure you're little connectors for the Power/on off and reset, etc. are in the right way.

Thanks guys but I finally figured it out. The mobo wasn't grounded. There was an extra screw hole underneath the board that didn't have a screw attached.
