urgent hdd issue

so....i have my new athlon xp rig purring along, but i'm having an odd issue with what i believe to be my WD SATA hdd. it seams to randomly shut down during normal operating. i am led to believe its the hard drive because when this occurs every half hour to and hour, i still have access to RAM, but i can't load any apps or anything that requires hdd access. i have a feeling it may be my PSU....i was using a Sparkle 350w that i bought with all my other parts, but i began to worry about the 13.5V registering on the 12v rail....so i swapped it out with the 350w that came with my raidmax case....and believe it or not, i get better voltages with the latter. with this psu, my 12v peaks at about 13.0v, and i'm not really sure what the range of tolerance should be. could you guys give me a hand?

rig in sig:

thanks, i thought i should add something....i have run a couple Sandra benches, and the hdd performs stronger that anything but a 15k atlas or raptor. as far as speed goes, its fine. i'm just afraid it may be intermittantly losing power.

Ill bump u cuz that sounds interesting.
Do u still get the shut downs with the original power supply?
Have you tried another Hard Drive (just for testing purposes) to see if the same thing happens?
