Urgent!!! GOG and Window 8.1

Hi guys


This is a urgent matter. I need to see if there is a fix so I can decided to return my laptop today (last day) or not.

Basically I have window 8.1 and I'm unable to download GOG games in any method. Meaning I can't download using Galaxy, I can't download using GOG installer, I can't download using the basic download. The basic download only work if it just one files and not a files with multiple parts like part 1, part 2, part 3 installation.

GOG Galaxy - it doesn't work

Basic Installer - it said that the following parts of the files don't match my main files? Why?

GOG downloader - it give me a blank browser screeen saying this page is not recognize?

Please help me. I don't know if this is a window 8.1 problem or my brand new laptop.

Galaxy launcher and GOG games work fine in Win8.1,I know because using it at the moment ie Witcher 3 for example,did you get Galaxy from here https://www.gog.com/galaxy

Also what antivirus you using?..Could be interfering with Galaxy exe. which is only one file btw.

We could do with more info,do other games work?..You ran any memory test program to test your RAM etc..

Hi mate, got some help on gog forum and it turn out that I didn't install the GOG downloader client, which I thought would automatically download and install for you but I guess that not the case.

I haven't try Galaxy and don't need to but the normal installer doesn't work which is still something that bug me. I'm currently downloading and installing a game to see if everything work.

So all of this time I could have been playing BG'2 but was kind of just dumb. Sometime the easiest solution are the one's you don't think off.

Alright thanks yall, I decided to return my laptop. It was garbage and with the worst screen possible, playing games on it was a nightmare. The display even on max brightness was so dim. BG'2 work but I couldn't see much cause the display was so small.

I guess I'll forgo playing games and just get a chrome-book.

I have a few ideas in my head and assumed some of you guys can read my mind. It still associated with what I'm talking about but it missing the few gaps that I did not mention which makes it confusing.

Why bother shit posting here? And I think a chromebook might be too advanced for you. Maybe one of these might be ok?
