I can't get this box to boot up. I just finish putting it together. I have Mushkin PC2100 DDR (512MB stick) RAM and it says it's not reconizing it. There is no video. On this board there is a LED display that tells you what process it is in of the bootup process. It stops at C1 which is "Detect Memory". I've reseated the memory many times with no luck.

What do you mean there's no video?

Have you tried resitting the RAM in the other 2 slots of on the mobo? Try that. If you have and no luck, you could try to reset the CMOS. Still no luck? then get some other RAM.

I've seen alot of posts concerning the pressure needed to seat the ddr memory. In everyone of them, the user hadn't seated it far enough. Make sure that it's seated all the way down and that the clips on each end have "clicked" into place. Also I've seen posts where the user had the memory spun 180 degrees ( how he did it I haven't a clue). Not to say you're not doing it right, but make sure the slot on the memory is lined up correctly.

I seated it right. Tried all 3 slots. I borrowed a friend's memory for a few minutes and it booted up. Now I gotta send the ram back to newegg and get a replacement. Thanks for the help

That sucks, but at least you got the problem isolated. Maybe the type of ram you bought is incompatible with your motherboard and you should try buying a different type to be on the safe side, although it's probably just a bad stick of ram. You never know though.
