I bought tickets on fandango.com for Star Wars: Episode III at midnight. When I bought them I bought them for Wed, May 18 at 12:01 AM. I figured that just meant midnight Wed/Thurs. But today my friend told me about people who were going to see it at Midnight tonight. i really need clarification on this. It's urgent!!!!

Your friend is probably an idiot, if there are any showings tonight they're screeners that are special in your area. The Film doesn't come out until Thursday. Midnight on Wednesday is Thursday, tonight is not.

The movie starts Thursday at 12am. It will not be released before then except to special pre-screen audiences. If your friend is not in that special group, he's going to be going to a closed theater tonight. ;)

The person printing the tickets either made a mistake or is ignorant of the 12 hour am/pm cycle.

This is what i was referring to in the other thread (the "guess what i'm doing tonight" where the dude post a screenie of his eticket). This happened for eps 1 and 2 AND lotr (i'm sure for others too but i've only witnessed these). 12:01am is truly a difficult concept for people running theaters.

12:00am is an even more difficult concept for most people.

12:00am, midnight, IS the first minute of each day. Midnight Tuesday has already occured. Midnight Wednesday occurs tonight.

There is a Home Depot near where I used to live in Atlanta that was open (according to their sign) from 6AM - 12AM. I asked the manager once when he was helping me if he had noticed that according to his sign the store was only open 6 hours. He looked at the sign, looked at me like I was Corky from 'Life Goes On' and said, "12AM....Midnight" in the most condescending tone of voice. Dipshiat.
