Didn't work under Win98 either. Although I didn't get any error messages. When I clicked play all it did was sit there. Nothing happened. The light on the drive was flashing but it just hung.

Thanks. I'll try what you suggested and post the results here.

WTF?! 😕 I says that it is region protected but that the region code is not set! Even though I've set it to N. America!

I'm off to bed too, thanks for your help. At least I know not to start buying DVDs like mad. I'll check the thread tomorrow or post another one.

Did you install the region code selector off the holly wood plus driver disc (or the zip file from their site)?

I have Zone selector installed (I have it for macrovision scrubbing, but setup is the same).

Run the program and open it in console mode if it isn't already (there is a yellow Z on blue circle in your systray right click and hit console)

then you have the popup box, you need to go to configuration and set the location of station.exe for DVD station. then you have to pick the DVD drive from the pull down box.

and check off use this drive with DVD station.

Then on the launch tab pick your zone and hit save.

Then you can press the Run the DVD button.

once you have it configured you can send it back to the tray (the . button near minimize) and then just left click on the Z and pick Launch DVD

Zone Selector will not work if you run station.exe directly, you must run DVD station through ZS.

Not sure if that helped any....

Also for region setting software I think the program is called RCC.exe or soemthing like that...it should be on the driver disk 2 you can download from realmagic.com

That's exactly what I did with ZS, no luck. 🙁

I'm going to try it again later today when I get home from work.

Working on a sunday. 🙁🙁 But I get double time! 🙂🙂
