I need to know in the next half-hour or so what CDRW drive to purchase, RAM, and mobo. I have a Yamaha 20/10/40 in mind, however not sure if support burn-proof or similar technology. When will Plextor be offering a similar CDRW?

As for RAM, I will purchase a "TBird 1.33GHz 266FSB AYHJA Y" from PCNUT.com and overclock. I read a couple of posts ago that Crucial is crappy, and I should go with Corsair. Who's a good reseller where I can get 512MB PC2400 Corsair DDR? Or two sticks of 256MB PC2400 Corsair?

Same deal with the motherboard, I was set on the MSI K7T 266 PRO, until someone mentioned a couple of posts ago that it sucks at o\cing and the Iwill is the better deal. What to do?

HSF for "TBird 1.33GHz 266FSB AYHJA Y", what's the best and where can I get it? Noise is not a concern (you should hear my HP).

Last, but not least, still undecided on a monitor. Looking for best 21" monitor (non-Sony, too expensive).

Thanks this board is a great help, I'll be back when I start to build this system in the next couple of weeks -- once I can settle on components (which is the hardest part it seems).

I'd say go with a 16x CDRW. Time difference between teh two is minimal but price gap is large.

Where did you hear crucial is bad? I don't know much about their DDR ram but I know their PC133 rocks. Do a search on pricewatch

HSF: Ppl seem to really like the taisol. Again, search on PW

LOL!! 21" not TOO expensive? Again pricewatch.
