AOL/Netscape spies on surfers
The "SmartDownload" and "Search" features of the Netscape Browser log downloads and search queries and send this data to Netscape, thus transferring file names, search criteria and the user's e-mail address without asking for permission to do so.

It cant be important enough to be on top of the news (didnt read your old post)
AOL/Netscape is major cheating here!
A good reason to switch to Opera/IE5.5 (and deinstall the Netscape "agent" software)

Yeah, if opera was as good as IE/netscape I´d use that, Netscape is good, but its slow. IE is faster than Netscape but its from microsoft and sometimes when it crashes it takes the OS with it.

Go Opera ;)

YES!

But can't you see the awful truth here? AOL = Time Warner!

Can you say junk mail? Spam? telemarketing? your name in every possible database???

You don't HAVE to use smartdownload with netscape (I don't), and if it bothers you that your searches are logged, why not go directly to your search engine of choice instead of being lazy and typing your search in the location bar? Problem solved :)
