Following the great advice i am going with this set up. I fly out on Sunday and need this delivered to Vegas by Monday. I just want to check;
1. the spec of my memory

2. which of these two video cards i should get (one i like because it is fanless(quiet)...the other is apparaently fairly quite...but still has fan...i need silence for my audio recording purposes);

so over all does it look good and does the Gigabit (fanless) gpu look good enough? And is the RAM overkill or good (theoretically 85 after rebate)

The memory was a bit overkill if you do not plan on overclocking, but the price was good, so still a good choice.

I would have gone with a motherboard with the latest Intel 3x series chipset. They will support the 1333 MHz FSB of the new Intel processors.

I am not impressed with you choice of video cards, but you probably do not need anyhting better if you are not doing 3D stuff or animation.

Everything else looks solid.

I don't think I will need much in the video department. Hopefully it will get me by for now.

it looks like getting the new cpu isnt going to be as easy on the 22nd of july as i had hoped....so maybe i will just get a cheap cpu now and i can upgrade mobo and cpu soon!
