160GB recovered. my precious, beautiful files.

a dark veil has been lifted from over me, i can now continue living.
/me sheds tears of joy.
/me celebrates by watching morning musume files for several hours.
 
🙂 surprised the drive actually lasted the 2 hours it took to copy the files to another drive after freezing.
 
freezer trick never worked for me.. it just froze up the insides so the hard drive wouldn't spin until it warmed up :disgust:
I ended up recovering my data using a data recovering software, r-studio.. <3
 
Whew... you might have lost your 160 GB of underage looking japanese girls and their terrible singing.... that was close

All I've EVER owed is maxtor (about 10 drives) Never had 1 fail on me. I've just retired them peacefully.

Wish I could say that. I've had 6 of them in the last 6 months fail in my optiplex GX260's that I have in service. It's like they had an internal time clock of one year to that date that they got installed. It was a monthly event - every month for 6 months now I've had one of those maxtors in there crap out on me. 🙁

MM is fvckin horrible sh*t. I can't believe you can actually dig that stuff unless you're just checking out the little girls. I'm embarassed to admit that they are from my own homeland lol
