Thats urban? Where do you live? For me urban means walmart ;) Which btw when you have 8 foot high mounds of snow can be alot of fun to park on :D

Get a little trim action on that front bumper man, I assume it will flex up a bit more without sway bars too? :)

I think Paulson would cry if he saw what my friends grand cherokee looked like. Then again I say not enough grand cherokees have bull bars and 9000lb warn winches ;)

Lots of people like to off-road with a stick (not I personally but to each his own). If its 4x4 you can. My only problem with trucks is that most are too big for the good areas around here :)

Soybomb, first off, it's a 4 cylinder, so the power really isn't there....

second off, it's not a 4x4 (I doubt it'd even have enough power to put all 4 wheels in motion...)

Once I get my truck I plan on doing a little off roading with a friend. He has a 4x4 Bronco, and I am getting an 87 Ranger 4x4 V6 auto.

nothing wrong w/ a 4cyl for offroading paulson, obviously you've never been.
we take my cousins 4cyl jeep off roading all the time and have never had a problem of power, esp since offroading is about lower power, you don't have to accelerate to 60 fast, u just have to be able to crawl, but like i said, if you'd ever been you might know that

Yeah Paulson you might be confusing off-roading with mudding :D Mudding is for hill billies I think and you need gigantic paddle tires and huge engines for it. Real off-roading is about precision driving, most of the time you're barely above a idle crawling along at 5-10mph. Its not something for everyone, but I do urge you to find someone who does go 4 wheeling and ride along sometime, wheeling is fun and isn't at all what most people expect!

fwiw: if you had a 4x4 that had a low gear available, in low gear you'd probably have 2.5-4 times as much power as you do with the transfer case in high gear. Its a cool feeling :)

<< Well I drive a 4 cylinder stick shift ford ranger 1990 model, so I don't think off-roadin for me would be very easy nor fun :D >>

Believe me you can off road in any vehicle.
Case in Point: Subaru stole the idea of sport-Utility-wagon from Toyota. How you ask? Does anyone know someone that owns an '80s Toyota Tercel Wagon 4wd? Well I had one, an automatic, and my brother had one, a manual. I will focus on my brothers. It has SIX gears. One gear was called Extra Low and could only be used in 4wd. Well lets just say they werent kidding, it is so low that it redlines at 19 MPH!!! these things have the oil pan protected by a crossmember, and off-roading with mine was the most fun i had ever had in my life. The only time I ever got it stuck is when it was sitting on its frame. I did things with that car that no one would even think of doing to their worst enemies rides. I did 6000 RPM neutral drops daily in 2 and 4 wheel drive.

Now this was the best off-roading vehicle I had ever been in and get this: It cost me $400, had 155/70R13's and a 54Hp 1.5L Carbeurated(sp?) 4 cyl. and it even lasted me 6000 miles!!

Paulson, you'd be suprised! I had a '91 4cyl stick and I got through a lot of stuff my friend's 4x4 Rodeo couldn't! I'm talking mud, snow, etc... off road. Granted, I had some wicked looking snow tires and about 400 lbs. of weight in the back, but still, I loved off-roading in my Ranger!
