I was listening to Digg a few days ago and they were talking about the specs Valve had on their users machines. And how X% of Valve's users had a connection of 10Mbit down. My question is what kind of upstream are residential customers getting with that type of package. I have only heard of 4-6Mbit down from Comcast.

My cable internet hits 10+mbps sometimes and I only have a 384kbps upstream.

Most residential Internet connections on average have between a 5:1 - 10:1 dl/ul ratio.

Also remember the population of college students using their school's network.
