upsmon

I'm trying to get my linux server to shut down if the power goes out for more then 10 seconds, and the UPS to shut down after a minute. I can get the UPS to shut down after the right time that I set, but I can't seem to find where to specify how long to keep the OS up. There's like hardly any documentation to this program. Theres aperently a upsmon.conf file but I have no clue where that is... I checked the folder upsmon is installed in (was just a tar file if I remember correctly) and I even check /etc/ to see if perhaps it generated a default or something. So the documentation I did find is probably refering to another program called upsmon, to further confuse things.

Also, what's AC fail count? been trying to figure that out. It's one of the parameters for the upsmon command.

I don't know anything about upsmon, but if it's an APC UPS you might try apcupsd instead. It has lots of features and is well-documented.

Unforgunately its a Ultra UPS. I never actually heard of that company till I got the UPS. It might actually be a rebranded APC, I have no idea. The CD that comes with it basically tells me to go download this upsmon software. And it seems like there's two difference peices of software out there that are called that. One with lot of documentation, and it even seems to support network monitoring, and the one I use which is very plain and basic.
