Is there a way of doing this in an environment running a Linux firewall without forcing a proxy on clients?

Edit: Crap. This probably needs to go to software, I guess. Not sure how good my odds of a reply are there, though.

The images have to go through some sort of proxy to get them turned upside down and/or blurred.

This is automatically done by the router, so you don't have to acutally install or change anything on the client side.
