I purchased a retail Pentium 4 2.26GHz cpu from GoogleGear around the 11th of last month. I got it for around $230 shipped. Installed it and had problems with the motherboard. Only last weekend was I able to do anything with this setup. Monday I check prices :Q WOW it's now dropped to $192.5 and the 2.4 is the same price. I called Google to see if it's possible to get a price guarantee adjustment because it's within the 30days of purchase. The rep laughed, then replied that it doesn't offer this policy. I then ask about a return and I was told it was only 15 days with a 15% restocking fee. Bummer! I know prices drop. I know you can't get the best of every deal. I know it's not GoogleGears problem. It was just upsetting to see this thing drop $40 bucks so fast. I really feel sorry for the person who bought this the day before the price drop or the 2.4GHz.
Overall I just wanted to inform you about this policy. I'm happy with the processor. I'm unhappy that everytime you have to pull the processor you have to reapply thermal paste...
