I've never had a problem with UPS, but Airborne Express is generally much faster.

Well, judging by the results of this poll, I've come to the conclusion that UPS hates you Grasshopper.

I don't think they really care about your grasshopper points either. ;)

If you are really worried baout shipping something with UPS then don't. There is a reason they have an employee designation of "box tosser". No joke.

LOL, he's just making a desperate attempt to craft a distinct personality to stand out on ATOT. You have to admit it's working ;)

<-- no ATOT quirk to call my own :( boo-hoo! :D

UPS here is very good, much better than FedEx Ground which delivered my last 2 newegg boxes to a completely different apartment complex from mine.

I relaly like UPS< except for the dimensional charges.. My driver is the best, even gave me his cell number if I need to get in touch with him. Fedex is not an option at this time..

I had 3 defective Gamecube systems delivered last week courtesy of UPS. And a destoryed Mech Assault display. And a ton of games that had been shaken out of their cases...

UPS sucks in my area. Fedex does a much better job overall when they deliver.

Ground service is too slow, usally 5-6 days but I would not personally ship anything large with them.

Never had a package crush or otherwise mangled enough to effect the product inside.... though now I have no doubt it'll happen. :D

UPS = teh suck

They really nail us Canadians with HUGE brokerage fees on small items. When I ship items, I stick to Canada Post/USPS or FedEx.

I've done a lot with them without problem. However, they do operate at an extreme.

Everything goes good - I dont hear any problems
Everything goes to hell - I spend 3 weeks having my acct rep sort it out

No middle ground.

I recieve roughly 50/50 UPS and FedEx, both are about the same, some really messed up boxes on both sides, rarely a damaged item. FedEx Ground is much faster on average.

Shipping stats:

300 FedEx packages in the last year (about half were really large - computers, monitors, speakers, components).
Results: Only one set of damaged Klipsch speakers.

1 large UPS package in the last year (Klipsch speakers, only traveling 40 miles).
Results: Absolutely destroyed.

On top of that, my local FedEx workers are absolutely great people. One is a hard worker and always asks how I am doing and leaves with "Have a great day". My Ground pickup person is the best one could ask for, always happy, always positive and friendly. Even on days when I have three 40 pound 28x28x20 boxes to be picked up in the front room and carried down the walk way to his truck, he just says "No problem" and leaves with a smile. Another thing I liked: He actually took the Snickers bar when offered to him, the day after Halloween. I find it to be an actual let down if I offer something and the delivery person refuses, because when I offer, I mean it.

Oh, plus, how can you beat this; I scheduled a FedEx Express pickup at 2 PM and 8 minutes later the guy showed up. That kind of speed is ridiculous in my opinion. And no, it wasn't a one time thing, the next scheduling was equally as fast on a seperate day. I love FedEx and am happy they exist.
