So I ordered a CPU from superbiiz.com/ewiz.com

They shipped it UPS Ground, my driver, I think she is new, didn't leave the package at my door like she sometimes does and didn't leave it at the apartment management office like they normally do. Instead, I get an info notice left at my door at 5:30 pm. I go online to hold it for pickup, system will only allow me to return to sender. I call UPS and they tell me they can't hold it at the facility per shipper instructions. Also, since none of the boxes on the infonotice are checked I can't have it left at my door or at the office. W T F? Never had this problem before and have ordered stuff from this company before. UPS tells me someone will call me sometime monday to try to figure something out...

Do they expect me to miss work and stay at home all day monday until 7PM waiting for my package...how do I get my package?

Sounds like the shipper is to blame here. Contact them and ask why they wont allow you to pick it up at the terminal.

Worse is when you tell them to hold it, and when you go and pick it up, it's on the fucking truck being shipped to your now empty house.

That sucks. FedEx let's me have shipments that I miss sent to the nearest FedEx Office for pickup (there are a few within a mile of my apartment in Manhattan).

I think UPS allows the same in Manhattan, but my UPS person comes before 11AM, so its easy to wait around for him so I've never had to try the hold for pickup.

IIRC, you need to request holds "for customer pickup" by phone or by using the delivery notice. Check the back of the delivery notice. Should splain it or provide a number.

call back again. this is idiotic. ive dealt with 3 different UPS sorting facilities through my years and it's never been an issue for them to hold it and for pickup later either in the evening or the next day.

Well, they called me this morning and said they would either leave it at my door or at my apt office building that closes at 6. They dropped it off at my apartment office building at 5:58pm without even knocking on my door. Another day, no cpu. yaaay!

I got sick of dealing with this a couple of years ago and switched my ship-to address to my work address as the mail department will deliver people's personal packages to their offices.

Yeah, I wish I could and I do with other sellers, but this stupid company will only ship to your bill-to address. That, combined with their no-pickup at depot policy, makes it look like they don't really want business.
