Today, I got a 3-day package in two days from CA, and they even dropped it off in a plastic bag b/c it was snowing out and w/o it, the package would've gotten ruined. Thanks UPS!

UPS = Great Service.

However, every now and then they will not leave the first attempt @ my apartment office. I can never be home during the day and always need to pick it up at my apt. office :/

Well, since this is about UPS, anyone know why my tracking number is coming back as an error?

You are lucky. Those boneheads delivered my package to some completely different address far from me. I needed the part to finish my PC and specifically ordered it from a different store so I could get it quickly. They then told me it could take up to 8 days to track the package down. I called the store I bought it from and ordered another one. I waited for it all day and the 15mins I was out the UPS guys came by. I immediately called them and they told me they couldn't send him back. I asked if I could pick it up and they gave me just a 30 min window to pick it up. I told them to forget it then and redeliver it the next day. Next day comes and it doesn't arrive again. I call them and they tell me I told them I would pick it up so I had to march down there and get it.

Short story, I'm pissed and they didn't even say sorry for losing my package. They cost me an extra week because the weekend was involved.

<---- works at UPS. I load semis. You can't imagine the chaos some nights. I handle 2000 packages myself every night. thats just me. The system we use sucks IMO. If you were to actually visually track your package through a UPS hub, you would probably be appalled. Yes, many of the packages go through normal and smooth. Many times the problems occur when boxes get jammed causing thousands of pounds of force from all the packages stuck behind to smash packages. It is usually NOT the loader or an actual employee destroying your package. The amount of volume through UPS is amazing. Same with FedEx. We mess up every now and then. give us a break. we do try our best to get your stuff to you ON TIME :)
