I'm in S.FL too. I Saw fedex delivering yesterday, no UPS. However, FEDEX has their operations in different spots than UPS. UPS is up right about where the eye first hit this time. I'd say they were hit harder but no idea. I'm sure Disaster Recovery is underway and they'll all get there soon enough... just a hunch though.

Actually - UPS has removed the "Delay" from tracking, and has replaced it with the package departing Montgomory, AL today. So it's not even in Jacksonville.

This argument is pointless considering that both companies move MILLIONS of packages EVERY DAY.

Not really. I could easily tell you that based on my experience, fedex is faster, more reliable, and less expensive than UPS. Not to mention now that you can go to kinkos to ship, a hell of a lot easier too.

UPS moves about twice the volume of FedEx (actually UPS moves about 10% of GDP DAILY) so their margin of error is understandibly higher. UPS has store front too, the UPS Store (formerly Mailboxes Etc) and more of them. I understand that you had some bad experiences with UPS in the past, I'm sure you're not the only one. The logic also tells me that there must be a good reason why UPS moves more packages then FedEx, surely the business does not come from unhappy customers.
