UPS tracking during the holidays

It's that time of the year again where UPS gets overwhelmed and my package tracking starts to get a little comical.

Rockford to Chicago to Addison, back to Rockford, and then back to Addison.
Good thing it is a relatively short trip back and forth down I90.

Sure would have been nice if they didn't waste a day in shipping it back and forth, because now I have to wait until Monday to get the package.

UPS loves me during the holidays. On more than one occasion, I've checked their website to see a package "delivered." I'd go outside to find nothing. A couple years ago, I had a package scheduled to be delivered on Christmas Eve, which was a present for someone. It was "delivered" at 10 AM, but the UPS driver showed up at 9:30 PM. She must have been so behind that she didn't want to get in trouble. Here's my little gem for today:

This isn't a big deal, but I find it funny. At the top of the page it says, "Tracking Dates Do Not Include Weekends And Holidays Recognized By The U.S. Postal Service."

The package is projected to be delivered on the 27th, which is tomorrow. It's also a Sunday. I think they need a fresh set of monkeys to update the code behind their tracking system.
