UPS TRACKING CODE: EXCEPTION

I am tracking an overnight package to myself and it just changed to "exception" status at Louisville Intl. Kentucky, USA, UPS center.

It is some computer parts sent from Canada.

Anyone know what "exception" status is?
 
There should be a button (link) you can click on to get the details. My hard drive from Western Digital is also in exception. They have to have a signature and no one was home to sign when they tried to deliver. May be the same for you.
 
my packages say exception when there is no one home to get the package... thats the extend of my experience with that code.
