UPS shipping address error

What happens when you mistakenly put the wrong shipping address? Its not totally wrong just one number added to the street address that shouldn't be there. Instead of 4 numbers for the street address there is 5 but the first number shouldn't be there. It was my mistake.

This is what Activity on the ups tracking number says right now:

DIRECTIONS TO THE RECEIVER'S LOCATION ARE NEEDED FOR DELIVERY. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION.

It is OUT FOR DELIVERY right now though because thats what it said right before saying the thing at top a little while later. I didn't catch it till today.


Thats the only thing that is wrong with the address. Everything else is right.
 
call them immediatly and tell them. They can change it in the computer which sends a note to the driver. I have had this happen to me before when i forgot to put the suite number on the package

Is it ok to call or email ?

Would calling really be a lot faster than email ? I am just asking.
 
Can you make these changes online in any way please?

The reason I am asking is because I don't really have access to a phone near by yet.
 
calling is instant and you know it gets done. I would call. I am sure you can do it via email but i have no idea how long it takes

Did your package get to you the same day after you fixed the shipping address by calling or did it take till the next day to get your package please? Just curious.
