OP here, just called UPS. They told me that it was one of the undelivered packages in their office, and asked if I've ever had an undelivered package. I said no, but he insisted that it was mine, and said that it was up to me if I want to keep it or not.

I don't think that's the right way to go about this, so I'm going to call the number on the card, and get this sorted out.

clearly the answer is to put it together, play with it until it crashes, cram it back in the box, return to NOAA, when they say 'why is it all fucked up?' say ¯\(°_o)/¯

Apparently NOAA wants the drone back ASAP, and says it was only mailed a few days ago. They are also saying that UPS screwed up.

Hope he doesn't give it back to UPS to redeliver. They'll just drop it on the front porch of MacDill Air Force Base and run away without knocking.

Reminds me of that movie Eagle Eye, where the kid got all kinds of military hardware delivered to his apartment, to frame him.

Have you pissed off any semi-aware super computers lately?

Since it's for NOAA, I don't think it's a big deal if he keeps it. If it's for the military then he would be a deadman.

Totally. I hope he yells, "finder's keepers!" when they government stops by to give him his complementary anal cavity search.
