I bought a Koss 4.5 car kit from amazon (19.99$) and selected 2 days shipping so it would get here before the week was over. Amazon shipped it about 6 hours after I placed my order and UPS scheduled delivery date for march 21st. Just came home and now my delivery date has been rescheduled to march 22nd... i don't really mind waiting but i'd like some compensation if I paid for 2day delivery and ended up getting three... or would amazon just say "we promise to ship within 24 hours, then add 2 days to that" which would make it march 22nd

Were you not at home? If there was nobody to sign for the package or there was some sort of physical impediment preventing them from delivering the package then it's not UPS' fault...just my two cents.

Edit: Amazon.com customer service has been really good to me. Try giving them a call. You have NOTHING to lose excepf for fifteen minutes of your time.

ok, 2 things. UPS has to have picked it up on that day, for example. today is thursday. if you ordered from amazon thursday, and got your UPS TN, but the package missed the daily pickup, it would ship friday.

if it shipped thursday your del. would be for monday
if it shipped friday your del. would be for tuesday

now, wether amazon had the package picked up the day you ordered it is the issue here

see, UPS guarantees 2 day delivery.....from pickup. if amazon kicked your package to the next day's batch, then you're sol.

BTW, i ship UPS and they reschedule stuff all the time. i'll have a TN issued one day, but the customer's payment didnt clear. so the package sat here, and when they put it into the system, they bumped the date due to the later pickup

ic. I don't really mind waiting a day, it's just that I'm cheap and a student with no job and if I can save 5$ then i'm all for it :) But for a weird twist of events, this morning the tracking detail says that the scheduled delivery is now march 21st again... doesn't say "rescheduled" anymore. I refreshed the page a couple times just to make sure it wasn't a mistake but it really is coming today again, heh.

Even if it's UPS's fault and didn't deliver it on time Amazon is the one who gets the money back since they are the shipper (who UPS has a contract with). If you want to get your money back for shipping you'll have to call Amazon. They're usually really good about this sort of thing. Give it a try.
