UPS or USPS?

I'm moving back down to LA (about 450 miles), but I've found all my junk won't fit in my trunk. So I'm going to ship all my clothes and some other stuff. Should I send it via UPS or USPS? I want something that will definitely get there, but I don't have a time limit (like 3-day ship or whatever). Just as long as it's cost efficient and gets there safely.

UPS usually can guarantee overnight delivery intrastate. Well, they do in FL. Check a transit time map. You also may qualify for hundredweight if you have over 200#s.

EDIT: UPS is probably the cheapest as well. USPS is good for light items, which dosent really help in your case.

For clothes you might want to go USPS because it's cheaper and it's not fragile.
For fragile stuff go UPS and pack it well to be sure.

UPS

On a related note, for important meetings they have to fly to, I hear some travelling businessmen and women will actually FedEx their attire to ensure it arrives at the hotel instead of Hawaii (lost baggage). Pretty wise idea! ;)

Thanks for the advice everyone, probably go with UPS. Now that I've thought about it, my apartment is on the second floor, I'd rather the person carry it up to me if possible. Lazy ;)
