UPS opened up my LCD monitor package

OK i got a 19" widescreen LCD from newegg, using UPS shipping.

Ofcourse newegg ships right in the original package that says LCD Widescreen right on the exterior. get the package and it had a big dent in the box right into the LCD screen (did not see any pixel damage once LCD was started up however)

but the wierd thing is the seal on the box was opened up and the newegg packing invoice was long gone. What do you think? i think one of the guys at the hub thought it was a plasma tv or something and was thinkin of stealing it...
 
What you don't know is that someone took your NEW LCD monitor and replaced it with their USED one.
 
Check serial numbers, then email Newegg and report it to them. They're the shipper in this case, it's up to them what to do with it. Any kind of damage like that and I'd hesitate to keep it, despite the fact that it "seems" to be alright.

Yep!!1 as damage is not covered by the warrenty. So if it shows up a week from now... well.
 
Most likely there isn't a packing slip. I've never gotten one on items that are not repackaged from newegg like lcds and speakers.
 
Newegg never sends packaging slips when the item is shipped in its own box like that (how's Newegg supposed to put the slip in the box without opening the box themselves?).
 
If you noticed the LCD box was opens and there was a HUGE dent in the side, the best thing to do is to either refuse the delivery or immediately contact Newegg for an exchange. You can even take some pics and post it here at ATOT for all of us to gaze upon.

USPS does it a lot. well what I recieve is also hole punched
