UPS messed up on an order (Please offer some opinions)

Hey guys,

I ordered creatine and protein from dps nutrition. UPS shipped it to the wrong address, and the guy in the wrong adress signd off on it. I caled UPS, and they promptly went back to that place, picked up my order and brought my stuff to my house.

Unfortunately, I discovered that the tool had already opened my creatine. I informed DPS nutrition and they are willing to give me store credit for the creatine, but I would have to ship it back to them.

1) Should I be the one that pays for shipping? (I think so though, its not 100% DPS' fault)
2) Should I try to make UPS pay for it?
3) Should I go to that guy's house and ask him to pay for my creatine? (hehe, gave me his address, 4 mi away from mine)
4) Do you think it'll be ok to just take the creatine? I am just worried that something might be put into it, since its something you consume, i figure its safest to send it back.

I would contact the shipper first and have them contact UPS as they were the shipper. UPS will probable not do anything for you. You can try to contact them but they usually only handle claims by the shipper.

I was thinking about going to the guy's place that opened my items and ask him to pay for my shipping to ship my stuff back to the shipper. But now thinking about it, it might be a bit weird and intrusive. So I think I won't go to the guy's house, unless someone can give me a nice non-intrusive line to say to the guy? heh

Well, i'm really only concerned with 1 thing, should I ship it back Or keep the protein & creatine? Its something that I consume and I don't feel quite right eating something that has been opened by other hands even though chances are very very low that it was tampered with, the risk is too high.

call UPSD first then go drom there....
They delivered to wrong place...there fault...

You should make UPS pay for it. They're the ones that screwed things up so they should be the ones paying for the shipping.,

yes, this is my next plan of action. I called ups already, and they told me to deal with the shipper, which I did. But I think I will try once again and see if UPS will ship my items back to the shipper for free.

I doubt they will, but its worth a shot!

1. Of course not. But you probably will end up doing so.
2. You can, but navigating through UPS getting to get you a freebie might be a headache.
3. Not worth the hassle. Unless he opens the door with creatine powder on his mouth, its not worth your time if it was a small amount you spent.
4. If worried man, don't touch it.
