You take the time it takes to ship something ALMOST to it's destination via then hand it off to the post office who takes their time to put it in their system and ship it to the person's door. It's like someone said "Our ground shipping is too fast, how can we slow this monster down?" and came up with that brilliant idea.

Smartpost is akin to Camels traveling across country.

I had a package take over two weeks from like TN to FL.

That crap sucks to try and track also.

I didn't even know that was going to be done one time and I see delivered on the tracking but it's showing the post office and I had never heard of that before.

Then before I could even track down where it was, it was delivered by the post office.

Well my guess is this is for people who get tired of the shipping company's a.)leaving it out with no one home so it can get stolen b) slowing down while driving by then claiming they attempted delivery.c)throwing your packages 10yds to your porch USPS might be slower but you get you package most of the time and in good shape.
