UPS, Macy's and other people...

Wife checked our registry one night and found that someone got us this cool Mikasa salad bowl, well all of our functions passed and the bowl was no where to be found. She called up Macy's and apparently the bowl was purchased by one of our friends and shipped to us. The problem was that we moved the day after it was shipped so it was lost in a black hole.

Macys tracked the package and UPS says it was delivered (UGH!). No signature required (UGH x2). The lady was very helpful and said that they would send us another salad bowl for free since the other one was lost (yay!).

Discussing how crappy that was of UPS to leave the package, we began to think that the person who used to live in our old apartment was enjoying a new salad bowl. Then we started to think that maybe they didn't keep the bowl since they were nice enough to forward our old mail back to the Post Office.

WAIT! There was a closet in the hallway of our old apartment and UPS left a package in there for me before.... maybe it was stuck in there by the UPS guy. We swung by the old apartment and right as we walked into the hallway, our package was sitting right there!

It had been there since 11/25/06!

Just wanted to post this story to show that there are some good people left in the world.

Yeah they deliver my processor to another town in my area... had to file for lost item.. took a month.. waiting for the refund check

UPS really isn't at fault...the delivery man knew that you obviously receive packages that are left in the closet. He can't be expected to know that you moved.

Not quite sure how this experience showed you "the good people in the world" either
