UPS is so (*&$#!#* slow!

From Utah to Pennsylvania, a 4.1 pound package.

USPS Priority Mail: 12.15 $US with delivery time of 2 days. The postman comes every day but Sunday where I am.

UPS Ground Service: 10.65 $US with delivery time of 5 business days. Upgrade to 3-day service results in significant price bump ($53 according to their calculator... might be an error but I've checked twice).

It is frustratingly slow when stuff has to ship from the other side of the country by UPS.

The last time I used UPS, it took *9* days for the box to ship from Pennsylvania to Colorado (sold an old Linksys router). Meanwhile, a wireless card I sold took 2 days to reach Oregon by USPS.

That's what I've been doing. Anything I sell here or on eBay gets shipped USPS. Its when I buy stuff from a vendor that uses UPS that I find the snail's pace irritating.

I'm glad Newegg ships via FedEx. Even stuff that ships from California generally arrives by friday if it shipped out on Monday.

Why not pony up the extra $2 if you're so pissed about it.

ups ground will be much cheaper if you are 1. shipping long distance (xcountry), and 2. you have a heavy package (10+lbs). fedex ground is cheaper than ups ground, btw.

FedEx Ground is also really slow. They used to be called something else before FedEx bought them. I prefer regular FedEx.
