UPS has pissed me off (All is well)

I paid like $25 for a video card to be shipped overnight. I left work and came to my billing address. I stayed here all day and night. At 9pm it said that it wouldn't be here today. I asked them when it would get here tomorrow and they said between 7am and 1159pm.

I'm getting my shipping money back from them. I'm going to ride their asses until they make it right. It's their only job and they failed to do it.

Has anyone else had problems with UPS. I'm furious with them at this point and unless they refund my money tomorrow, I'm done using them.

Edit:

After looking over the forums and getting a good night's sleep, I think I was a bit harsh on them. I didn't realize there were such problems this year, for whatever reason.

Anyway, as I was wondering around, observing the Katrina damage, the UPS guy came. Friendly as hell.

After consulting the scriptures, I've determined that UPS isn't actually evil. I did talk to them on the phone, and at least the operator seemed appologetic.

So I don't think I'm going try to get my money back. I've wasted enough time with them, and its obvious that FedEx is an order of magnitude worse around here.

So did it get shipped out one day and were you waiting for it to arrive the next? Are you sure it got picked up by UPS the day you thought it would?

My sister IM'd me a few minutes ago and said that a package (Christmas present for her boyfriend) that she ordered on December 12 (with overnight shipping via UPS) has been rescheduled for delivery on December 30. She's not exactly pleased with them.

What time of the day you place the order originally? With whom?

Considering the company I work for that does a lot of shipping, and considering the time of year.... hee, good luck with the refund 🙂

Yes.

It said it would be delivered today up until about 9pm when it changed to tomorrow. I called them and they won't tell me why it's not coming today.

As for delivering it to work, I work nights usually and in a secured area. They probably wouldn't be cool with me having it delivered that way.

No kidding.

If it doesn't come tomorrow, I'm done with them. My uncle ordered a motorcycle tire earlier in the month and FedEx has failed to deliver it about 8 times. They keep saying "weather problems". Yeah. It's crystal clear at 60F outside. It's in the local warehouse and they won't deliver it.

I've ordered stuff at this time of year before and not had horrible problems like I'm seeing on the forums.

He can't goto the Fedex place and pick it up?

Nope. They said it's automated and not manned.

If I were him I would have been on the phone days ago.

I wouldn't mind my stuff coming late if it weren't shipped overnight. If they know they can't make it overnight, that's fine. Just don't promise it to me on the 22nd and not deliver it. That's unacceptable.

I was in Fed Ex yesterday to ship a package to my folks when a driver came in complaining about the cold "I'm not delivering to Cabbage Hill, I skipped the North Hill. Forget it they can get their stuff tomorrow." Hey I live on the North Hill and paid $12.50 for 2 day air! Where is my package? The gal at the desk said "Oh, he is the ground guy yours should be there later tonite" After filling out the forms for shipping my parcel the gal says "The credit card we have for you in the file is expired and I don't know how to update the computer." Can I pay by check? "No I can't do anything with you in the system." Screw it. US post office $5.85 two-day priority mail. Done.

We did get our Fed Ex air delivery at 5pm that day.

UPS truck got stuck in my driveway this evening. I live in a rural area and my driveway isnt clearly marked. He attempted to back into my driveway so he could pull away faster or something i dont know. Anyways he fell off the side of the drivway into the ditch basically. Gave us our package while my dad chained his F-150 to the front of it and pulled him out.

Probably the funniest thing i've seen in a while. The best part was that only one tire was in the ditch. The tire that actually spun when he hit the gas. We played with the "my cousin Vinny" positraction references for a while.

Sucks. You're right that is their only job, yet they somehow manage to mess it up. Just remember all the packages they deliver and how many get there on time or early. Its hard to deliver 200,000 packages a day and not forget one occasionally.

I ordered high chair for the baby on Dec 15h. It was supposed to be shipped via UPS. First, it was rescheduled to 3 days later (late train from VA to CA). Then it was dropped off at a wrong house and marked as delivered. I had to poll all my neighbors until I found my package sitting at the front door of an empty house. Finally, the box looked as if the truck rolled over it.

Fvckers.

agreed. however, i'm paying them to do a service. put it this way: if i (or you) had been even 1 cent short of paying the shipping costs, they wouldn't even need to think twice about skipping the delivery. therefore, i hold the carrier to the same margin of error.

i wouldn't be so pissed if my package wasn't a semi-big ticket item that i had been expecting for 2 weeks. 9 out of 10 deliveries of mine are botched by UPS.

again, fvck UPS to hell. i hope they drown like GM.

UPS left $400 worth of school books at the 1204 apartments, I live in the 1202 apartments. I just found this out like 5 minutes ago and I'm stuck at work.

It's 2 days before Christmas.. do you realize how busy they are? My dad is a driver for UPS, and he hasn't been getting home until 9 or 10 each night.. that's a 15-16 hour work day.

And you're wasting your time trying to get your shipping money back from UPS.. they refund to the shipper, not the the receiver.

I understand exactly how busy they are.

I also understand that they, a business, made an agreement with me. I paid them a sizable amount of money to do something. They didn't do it. It doesn't matter how busy they are, they have a job to do.

My beef is with corporate, not the individual drivers/pilots/whatever. Like I said, I wouldn't have minded if they told me they couldn't get it here overnight like FedEx did. I switched to UPS overnight and they didn't say they couldn't get it here.

Apparently it's on its way now. It was loaded up at 530am, and I'm not going to give the driver any grief.
